My name is Leonard Ruddock, the Rector of Irishtown and Donnybrook Union of Parishes and I am delighted to welcome you to our parish website.
We are members of the Church of Ireland and are in the United Dioceses of Dublin and Glendalough.
We are aware of the rich Christian heritage that we have, but we also live in the present and plan for the future.
We strive to make our church a place that is warm and welcoming. As a parish community we strive to live out our Christian faith, to promote friendship and care in our community and to welcome people of all ages.
We strive to be a church family where people from all age groups feel accepted and feel that they belong. A place where they can experience God’s love and care – a place where they can develop and grow in their faith and where they can experience the risen Christ for themselves.
We are always delighted to see new faces. So why not join us? We meet in St. Matthew’s church every Sunday morning at 10.30am. On the 4th Sunday each month (during the school term) we have a Family/School service where the pupils from our parish school play an active part in leading and participating in our worship.
Services of Holy Communion or Morning Prayer are held on the other Sundays. Click here for full details.
We welcome people from all faiths and backgrounds. You and your family are warmly welcome and we look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to our parish.
Rev. Canon Leonard Ruddock.
Rector.
